Desktop Motion
Capture
The quCat was designed to enable animators faster 6DOF manipulation
and navigation. The primary goal was desktop motion capture as
demon-strated in this windows media animation (9MB, DivX codec
required). A major
part of the product quCat was contained in software. Due to lack of
ressources quCat had to be put on ice, but a 0-series has been built.
Compared to the predecessors the cloth has been removed and the sensor
is better encap-sulated. We have also built a miniature version of this
handle adapted to game control with stiffer springs and a smaller
"control knob" with a diameter of 45 mm.
In order to interactively find out the six degrees of freedom (6DOF),
please test our
Cult 3D demo. However, to experience the power of elastic
6DOF simultaneously you will need IS3D!
